Comfortable touring at bargain prices

In the world of tow cars, the entry-level model isn’t necessarily ideal for towing. There are exceptions, but in most cases, you’ll want one of the more powerful engine options to pull a full-sized van. When it comes to caravans, however, I’m often struck by how good the basic models are. Don’t get me wrong, I’m more than happy to stay in a luxury tourer. It’s just that cheaper, lighter vans can deliver the same home-from-home experience at a much lower price. Sprites, Xplores and Alteas show that you don’t need a high-end caravan to enjoy your tour. Which leaves a little more budget to spend on that tow car…

Volvo has unveiled the EX90, an all-electric seven-seat SUV. The new flagship has the highest price tag of any Volvo, starting from £96,255. Volvo says the EX90 sets new standards for driving safety, with a range of cameras, radar and lidar sensors providing what the brand describes as an “invisible shield of safety”.
