We highlight some of the key stats from this year’s Top 100 Sites Guide

IT’S GREAT TO SEE the publication of our Top 100 Sites Guide 2023. It always feels like the very start of the season when the guide comes out, providing ideas and inspiration for the forthcoming year of touring.

And it looks as though it will be another busy year for campsites – the cost of living crisis is sure to have an impact on travel plans, with many people choosing to holiday in the UK this year. They will be spoiled for choice – as this year’s guide reveals, there are some fantastic sites, but do book early to avoid disappointment.

You can see this year’s full results in our Top 100 Sites Guide 2023, produced in association with Raleigh, and you’ll find your copy of the guide with this month’s issue of Practical Caravan.

Overall Winner this year is Eye Kettleby Lakes in Leicestershire. This superb site is a previous winner of the Top 100, which is testament to its ongoing appeal and the hard work of all the team there.

We would also like to recognise the fine achievements of campsites in the Heart of England and the North-East, represented by 15 and 13 parks respectively.

Finally, we are delighted to report that overall voter numbers are up again – this year into five figures, which reflects the importance and prominence that campsite users and owners place on our Top 100.

AND THE WINNER IS… EYE KETTLEBY LAKES

We said There’s plenty to do on site – bikes can be hired, and there are no fewer than nine fishing lakes, including six mixed coarse fishing lakes, two specimen carp lakes and a private lake for lodge members only.

The popular Clubhouse serves a selection of ales, gins and food during the day, and a regular programme of live entertainment is also hosted there.

Quality facilities, great location, attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere are some of the factors previous winners have offered, and we can safely say this year’s does, too – so well done to Eye Kettleby Lakes, our Overall Winner for 2023!
