Buxton International Festival

Alice’s Day, Oxford
Time to fall down the rabbit hole at the Alice’s Day festival, when Oxford transforms into a great celebration of all things Wonderland. The theme this year is Fabulous Monsters and Curious Creatures, and events take place at venues across the historic university city.
Visitors can expect to enjoy street theatre, storytelling, film screenings, workshops, walks and talks. The family-friendly Story Museum is also offering half-price entry on the day.

Stonehaven Folk Festival
The latest incarnation of the long-established Stonehaven Folk Festival (its 34th) on Scotland’s north-eastern coast promises appearances from popular folk acts, such as Cherish the Ladies, Aberdeen Folk Orchestra and fiddle player Charlie McKerron and Friends.
