If a wheeling machine feels like something of a large and cumbersome investment for the home enthusiast, Clarke’s new bench-mounted offering (part no: CBMEW1) should make it that much more manageable. Ideal if you need to fabricate curved panels and wish to avoid hammering or heating, the unit is suitable for shaping steel up all the way up to 16 gauge (1.5mm), and copper or aluminium up to 14 gauge (1.8mm).
The storage rack built into its top holds seven different anvil dies, ranging in shape from ½in to 9in and flat, and the yoke mechanism promises quick and easy changing of the anvil, plus a smooth action thanks to sealed bearings.
A light touch

These LED headlamp bulbs are designed to replace the P45t British Pre-Focus items used in the Fiat 500 – an awkward assignment apparently, due to the shallow depth of the bowl. The result is LEDs that drain only 15-25 Watts (60 per cent less than the originals), but give out three times as much light, while retaining a clean beam cut-off line when dipped. Their ‘ivory white’ 4300K colour output is a match for the original, or for a more continental look you can opt for yellower versions. Although the price is meaty, the five-year warranty is hard to beat.

Beetles and Karmann Ghias, and does so without altering the offset of the wheels. Designed to work in conjunction with stock spindles and 15in wheels, the kit is supplied with discs, calipers, and brake hoses, plus the caliper conversion brackets and wheel bearings that you’ll also need. A dual circuit LHD master cylinder is included, but owners of RHD vehicles will need to source this and a suitable reservoir separately.
