Power to the people

COMBINED ½IN DRIVE RATCHET WRENCH AND POWER-BAR £80.64

A great new addition to your toolbox, this telescopic 1/2in drive wrench with a flexible ratchet head and ratchet lock-out button means you don’t need to switch tools between high and low torque activities. As a standard 1/2in drive ratchet, the smooth 72-tooth ratchet mechanism is impressive as is the great accessibility offered by the flexi-head. Then press a button to lock-out the ratchet and slide the handle extension out from 455mm long to a full 630mm — you now have a useful power bar just when you need it, without risking damage to the ratchet. Manufactured from chrome vanadium for strength with a chrome plated finish and knurled grip handle, it has a sturdy feel and would make a great addition to your tool chest. Matt says…

'We’ve all busted ratchets when cracking off over-tight fixings, too idle to go and find a breaker bar. Now laziness need be no obstacle when it comes to switching to the right tool.'

Unsexy, but pleasing

TRIUMPH STEERING RACK CLAMPS £24

Inflation for the nation

CORDLESS TYRE INFLATOR £55

This is one of the most useable-looking tyre inflators we’ve seen, thanks to its compact size and cordless operation – no more trying to cram a 10ft cable into a tiny compartment. It charges via a USB Type C or 12V DC cable and promises quick inflation, with an automatic cut-off feature to prevent pumping for too long. The pump is lit by several LEDs, making it easy to use in the dark - perfect for when you're on the go. Part no: RTC4000. ringautomotive.com

Clean and safe from dribbles

OIL FILTER REMOVAL CUPS £49.54

Hate that feeling of warm engine oil dribbling down your arm as you unscrew the filter? Reach for one of these new oil filter removal cups, designed to be used in conjunction with an oil filter wrench to undo and remove the filter, eliminating the need for the user to handle the filter and preventing any splashes or spillages of hot engine oil. Simply loosen the filter with an oil filter wrench, then offer up the removal cup — its flutes will grip the filter and let you spin it off. No mess, no spills and no hot, contaminated oil on your fingers. What a great idea! Two sizes are supplied in the set: 180cc, to fit oil filters measuring 63-67mm in diameter, and 240cc to fit 73-76mm diameter filters. Part no: 857
