If you’re modifying your wiring loom, you might find yourself in need of a crimping tool capable of fitting wire ferrules. The right-sized ferrule, properly crimped, will give a strong connection without the need for soldering. These four-tooth crimping pliers can apply various sizes of ferrule, and the tool comes complete with a carry case and a box of 1200 ferrules ranging in size from 22AWG/0.5mm2 to 7AWG/10mm2. TRIUMPH 2000 REPAIR PANELS £VARIOUS

Triumph 2000/2.5 owners with cars that are suffering from crispy front wings can now purchase a range of new repair panels, available from Triumph fan Lloyd Reed, who already produces the full arch sections and half wings amongst a host of other panels. The rear lower sections cost £80 including the required bracket, the MkI front lower section costs £69 and the MkII front lower section costs £120. All prices are plus postage.

They’re made by Grayston in Germany and can be fitted to either positive or negative earth vehicles. Inside the kit you’ll find a 12-volt compressor, relay, two trumpets (high and low tone) and an air hose to connect it all together. WEBER 45DCOES FOR ZETEC/DURATEC £1165

Ford Zetec and Duratec engines fitted with Weber 45DCOE carbs can suffer a flat spot just off idle, which persists no matter how the carbs are calibrated. To cure the issue, Burton Power has devised these modified versions, using five progression holes instead of three or four. The result is a precisely measured dose of extra fuelling when required, giving smoother progression throughout the rev range.
