Craig Cheetham puts some miles behind him…

Raising money for charity is an infectious venture and here at PC, we’re all at it. As I mentioned last month, I’ve recently returned from driving over 1450 miles in a 28-year-old Rover 620 to raise money for Aortic Dissection Awareness UK. More to follow, but I was absolutely overwhelmed to raise over £1750 for the charity, which – as a small yet hugely valuable operation – made a massive difference to their life-saving efforts.

Now editor Danny and Matt George are at it. The pair of them headed off last month in separate directions with the primary purpose of raising money for the betterment of others. I doff my cap to both – and I mean that literally as well as figuratively, as I have a nice cap that I picked up on my travels when I stopped off at Cowley, where my 600 was built.

But I digress.

Right now, while I sit in a cosy pub tapping away on my laptop on a wet Friday evening, Matt’s somewhere between Land’s End and John O’Groats with his dad, Keith, in George Senior’s Triumph 2500 and Danny’s on his way to Turin on the Italian Job, in a borrowed Mini Cooper.
