CLUBS & EVENTS

Four YouTubers have combined forces to launch their own classic car event at Gaydon, on March 9. Rustival is the work of Ian Seabrook (HubNut), Carly Spencer (Miss HubNut), Matt Richardson (Furious Driving) and Steph Holloway of idriveaclassic. Steph told us:

‘The event will celebrate the love of automotive and the community, with no brand snobbery, no requirement for shiny wheels and everything from pre-war to forecourt-fresh motors welcome in equal measure. Rustival will feature talks from special guests, involvement from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, while mechanic Kev from idriveaclassic will be on hand to answer any technical questions. Rustival will be family-friendly and inclusive, and tickets can be bought through the British Motor Museum website at britishmotor museum.co.uk.’ Rustival launches in Gaydon

A GLOBAL TRIUMPH

Standard-Triumph Chairman Sir John Black was born on February 10, 1895. In 2016, to mark Black's birthday, Rye Livingston of the Triumph Travelers Sports Car Club in Northern California created Drive Your Triumph Day, for you to drive your Triumph and take a photo of it and its occupants. So, on February 10 this year, be sure to get a pic of your Triumph even if it's in hibernation, or mid-restoration. Email your pic to driveyourtriumphday@gmail.com, along with some info (who, where, when) and the photos will be published in the Vintage Triumph Registry magazine and on Facebook at tinyurl. com/2p8r5bk9. Looking for a destination? Then head to the British Motor Museum to join fellow Triumph owners, before taking in the MG & Triumph Show at Stoneleigh Park the next day.
