Adria drops Active Duo price
Adria has announced reductions in the price of its new rising-roof campervan in a move to make this “the best value campervan in the UK”.
The Adria Active Duo was launched last summer, and went on to win the Best Small Campervan category in our 2024 Motorhome of the Year Awards. The Renault Trafic-based ’van was also given an in-depth Big Test review (issue 279).
But at the start of December the company announced it would be dropping the OTR price of the vehicle by 15.6%, to £52,990.
Optional extras associated with the vehicle have also come down in price, so you can now get the Active Duo with a Comfort Pack, a 150bhp engine with auto gearbox, two Renault packs, an infotainment system, metallic paint, 17-inch alloy wheels and a spare wheel for £63,490. That’s only £695 more than the original cost of the vehicle.
Adria says the price reduction has been prompted by slower than anticipated retail sales, but attributes this mainly to the time of year.
Fire shuts Marquis branch
Marquis Leisure says it has already contacted any customer whose order or servicing might have been affected by a fire at one of its branches at the start of December.
Fire crews were called to the Marquis Sussex branch, near Hailsham, on 2 December.
Eight service vehicles were despatched, and crews took five hours to get the fire under control, during which time roads had to be closed.
An investigation into the cause is continuing. As we went to press, the branch remained temporarily closed. Contact Marquis (marquisleisure. co.uk) for more information.
Vantage teams up with designer
Leeds-based van converter Vantage Motorhomes has teamed up with vehicle design specialist Motion R Design to offer a new bespoke Ford Transit Custom-based campervan.
The new vehicle has an exterior that Chorley-based Motion R has enhanced with carbon fibre mouldings, forged monoblock alloy wheels, a diffuser, a rear spoiler and much more.
Cab enhancements will include a perforated leather steering wheel, carbon fibre multimedia steering controls and carbon fibre detailing.
