The pace and variety with which the automotive world is currently changing could fill books. Especially as the car is not only reinventing itself but is also becoming an empathic friend at our side. Enough stuff, then, for a second Transformers edition inspired by the Hollywood sci-fi blockbuster. Good for us that the Sand Scorcher by Tamiya, which has always transformed children’s dreams into (remote) mobility as an RC model, now comes to us in life size in California. In Germany, we find a cousin of Bumblebee’s, a “Krypton Green” Chevy Camaro with a 6.2-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine, driving around the (formerly) industrial Ruhr region. And star author Wladimir Kaminer super-super-super tested the Ferrari 812 Superfast and the GTC4 Lusso T in the snow. Other transformers: the AMG GT C Roadster, Lamborghini Evo 10, BMW M5 xDrive. And, incidentally, the new 911 (sur)passes itself yet again.
