When things get confusing and complex, we usually want only one thing: to do something. Anything. No matter what. Behavioral scientists call this action bias, a cognitive distortion with built-in, systematic fallacies. This phenomenon seems to feel really at home in the present world. That’s why we went ahead and did just the opposite: pause, keep calm, endure the silence and stop without really stopping. A couple of cars helped us to wonderfully slow down while stepping on the gas. The Ferrari F8 Tributo for example. A Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. Or the McLaren 570S GT4.
