A riot of colour

Fashion designer Christopher John Rogers is known for his playful use of colour. Now he’s mixing things up at iconic paint brand Farrow & Ball, as they collaborate on a vibrant new collection of paints and papers. Called Carte Blanche, it is a capsule range with 12 new shades in the palette and three wallpapers. The phrase Carte Blanche means blank document, and the collaboration is about giving homeowners the freedom to create their own look. Charlotte Cosby, creative director for Farrow & Ball, says, ‘I’ve been a fan of Christopher and his use of colour for years; he treats it so tenderly, and the result can be a beautifully tempered explosion or a slick confident splash.’ Inspired by memories of food and family, the colours range from vivid blues, greens and pinks to foundational neutrals.
