Perched at the southern tip of the Grenadines, Grenada has (until recently) remained quietly under the radar, appealing to those in the know who love the island’s rustic charm, friendly people and wild vegetation. Barbados, Mustique and St Barts have taken centre stage as glamorous Caribbean magnets for celebrities and royalty alike, but now that’s set to change with the arrival of a new, uber-luxury hotel called Silversands.

Little bedroom touches included a small plate of biscuits and cakes, which differed each day.
