one of the things we care most about at Red is keeping it real. Of course, we want to provide lots of delicious inspiration – for your home, your wardrobe, your holiday, your dinner table – but at the same time, if it’s not somewhat attainable, what’s the point?

As I flick through this issue, that blend of dreamy and down-to-earth is what stands out to me most. I love that our Style section, which is filled with ideas for what to wear to a wedding (page 14), has a £1,575 Etro bag alongside one from Marks & Spencer for £35. And that on page 140, Brigid Moss compares the merits of the new slew of wellness gadgets, deciding that the benefits of her 10p ear plugs far outweigh those of a £1,299 infrared healing mat (although, of course, you might want both!).

I also love that our recipes from the brilliant Anna Jones on page 130 focus more on flavour than time spent in the kitchen, and while our deep dive into hotel style on page 108 is pure design escapism, our columnist Kate Watson-Smyth aka Mad About The House muses on how to create a feeling of abundance in your home without spending a fortune in the process (page 128).

Is there anything that separates reality from fantasy like an honest discussion around our sex lives? On page 40, Megan Conner asks Dr Karen Gurney about the challenges couples with kids face at each stage and how to overcome them. Turn to page 90 for more straight talking, this time about legs – and whether the body positivity movement has changed our relationship with our cellulite (optimistic answer: a bit).
