Donegal, Ireland

Winter trips are possible; with the forecast giving two reasonably dry days and no sub-zero temperatures, I set off for a trip around the Donegal section of the Wild Atlantic Way. It was fantastic scenery; 450 miles over two days.

Here’s a picture of my Yamaha Thundercat somewhere in the Pyrenees. The bike had previously been unused for 13 years and I repaired it to get it road ‐ready. After a few shakedown runs, two of us rode to a mate’s place in France. I did a total of 3000 miles on that trip and had a right blast.

STAR PICTURE

Pamir Highway, Tajikistan

I picked up a copy of your magazine recently and noticed the ‘Your Rides’ section, and I thought I’d drop you a line.

Last year, I rode 16,500 miles through 18 countries over five and a half months, riding from the UK to the Pamir Highway in Tajikistan. I did this to raise money and awareness for the charity Mental Health Motorbike - mhmotorbike.com – as I lost a friend to mental health and addiction, and wanted to help create a legacy in her memory.

Each month the Star Picture will win a BikeTrac security tracker with a year’s BikeTrac subscription. As well as helping recover your bike if it is nicked, it logs journeys and gives live battery voltage information, too.

How to send us your photos Email your most inspirational biking photos to us at ride@ride.co.uk with ‘Your Rides’ in the subject line. Please send us the original unedited photo file, ideally at least five megapixels in size. Don’t forget to include your full name. Pictures with your face in them are more likely to get published, too.

Sisteron, France

I had a couple of trips away with my brother ‐i n‐law last summer and thought I would drop you a couple of photos. RiDE mentioned the pass last year and we made a mental note to ride it. Did it en route to Granada and it blew us away. The locals were passing us on both sides to add to the excitement.

I’m a recent born-again biker, coming back after a 25-year lay-off. My new Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro inspires confidence and excitement in equal measure. A recent rare break in the miserable winter weather provided the opportunity for a bright and clear, if chilly, midweek ride out.
