CHICKEN STOCK CUBES
You can use a stock cube to make an easy ramen dish. Dissolve it in hot water on the hob, and then chuck in some noodles and whatever else you want – spring onions, chopped mushrooms, some leftover chicken from a roast. Then add a little bit of sesame oil and some chilli flakes. Easy.
PARMIGIANO REGGIANO
Parmesan provides a salty tang to an Italian dish. If you’ve cooked some pasta, grate some Parmesan over it, add a little bit of the cooking water, and stir it together with a bit of pepper. The cheese emulsifies into the cooking water for a really nice sauce.
GROUND CUMIN

I like to roast a SIDE
OF SALMON and do some potatoes with it.
I’ll always have leftover potatoes and salmon, so I’ll mash them all together and then make fishcakes the following day.
ONIONS are a great way to get depth of flavour into a dish without spending a lot.
I also like to do a biryani with onions instead of meat, and a sloppy Giuseppe with caramel
