Georgina Haughton, head of wine buying at Sainsbury’s, shares her favourite bottle for January
‘For a long time, wine has lagged behind the likes of beer and cider when it comes to the quality of low- and no-alcohol options. But the technology and – as a result – the breadth of products available, is improving. Whether you’re taking part in Dry January, or choosing to moderatee for one night only, I’d recommend giving our Sainsbury’s Alcohol Free Sparkling Wine a try. It has crisp flavours of green apple and a touch of sweetness, which pairs well with spicy Asian food. Or, for mocktails all round, add a couple of splashes of apple juice and a slice of apple as a garnish.’
Alcohol Free Sparkling Wine by Sainsbury’s, £3 for 75cl
