New drinks and tipples to try

BOTTLE CORNER

Georgina Haughton, head of wine buying at Sainsbury’s, shares her favourite bottle for March…

‘With the arrival of spring, and the prospect of celebrating Mother’s Day and Easter, why not opt for a sparkling rosé to get into the mood? Crémant is a great way of getting all of the flavours of Champagne but for a more approachable price tag. Taste the Difference Crémant de Loire Rosé is made using the same method as Champagne rosé by the brilliant Bouvet Ladubay in the Loire Valley. They’ve been making traditional method fizz since 1851, so know what they’re doing! It’s a delicious dry rosé fizz and bursts with juicy red fruit flavours. Great as a gift for a loved one, and delicious with smoked salmon.’

Taste the Difference Crémant de Loire Rosé 75cl, £11.50
