Q I have noticed some people put pinion supports in their reels. Do I need them for my multipliers? If so, why don’t the manufacturers put them in as standard?

CK says: Some multiplier reels are quite delicate internally and are not designed for heavy lifting. My own opinion is that pinion supports can help, though installing them may impact your warranty with the manufacturer.
