Boatlife 2024

Taking place in February, Tim Macpherson previews BoatLife 2024 which this year focuses specifically on angling

It was, perhaps, a brave move to launch a new in-person event in early 2022 at the tail end of the pandemic. However, because of the increased interest in boating during the pandemic the organisers identified an appetite from both industry and the boating public. Boat and marine electronics sales had rocketed and although the now well-documented supply chain issues made life tricky for many companies the chance to get in front of anglers and boaters to show their latest products was too good to miss.

And so BoatLife was born and in 2023 the event really took off. The key aspect for anglers was the introduction of an Angling Zone which proved to be the most popular part of the show. The organisers installed an angling stage and held a series of presentations about all things angling, some of which I took part in.

SUZUKI

February 2024 sees BoatLife expanding even further, kicking off the year by welcoming headline sponsor Suzuki and a wide range of boats, marine electronics, tackle and other products all under one roof.

Sea Angler is now on board as the official media partner for the event and we’d encourage all our readers to pay the show a visit. It will likely be the first major boat angling exhibition in the UK in 2024 and the chance to get ahead of the game in advance of the new boat fishing season. There will be a great line-up featuring over 100 models of boats and RIBs, all catering to a wide range of budgets and lifestyles. Exhibitors include Navionics, the Navico

Group (including Lowrance), Smart Fish, Shoxx, Mustang Survival, UMS Boats, Crew Saver, Bates Wharf, Quicksilver, Suzuki, Wolf Rock, Zodiac, SMG, SBS Trailers, Mercury, Rolands Marine, Sea Dek, Cox & Rawle, Mariner, Honda Marine, Torqueedo, Idealboat, Boatpoint, TBS Boats, Beta Marine, Offshore Power Boats and many more. Other major electronics manufacturers including Garmin and Raymarine will be represented by their distributors.

THEMED DAYS

To heighten the visitor experience and further mesh these marine sectors together, the 2024 event will see the introduction of four unique themed days to redefine the boat show journey.
