The October issue of Ships Monthly is out now, and is packed with all the usual news and outstanding articles and features. Celebrating the diamond jubilee of the paddle steamer Waverley. The cruise ship Zenith was built 30 years ago and has ended her career under the name TSM Singapore. Profile of Wasaline’s new ferry Aurora Botnia, the most environmentally friendly ship ever built, operates between Finland and Sweden. A voyage on the Shipping Corporation of India’s State of Haryana across the Indian Ocean from Mombasa to Bombay in 1970. Some outstanding images of ships taken around Portland and Weymouth, showing that ships can be aesthetically easy on the eye.
