Row 1 (RS) K2, (P1, K1) to last st, K1.
Row 2 K1, (P1, K1) to end. Rep these 2 rib rows until work measures 7cm from cast-on edge, ending after a RS row.
Next row (WS) P4 (12: 7: 11: 4), *M1P, P6 (5: 6: 6: 7); rep from * to last 5 (12: 8: 12: 4) sts, M1P, P to end. [136 (151: 163: 178: 193) sts]
Change to 4mm needles.
Row 1 (RS) K5 (4: 10: 9: 8), (P3, K1tbl, P3, K10) 7 (8: 8: 9: 10) times, P3, K1tbl, P3, K5 (4: 10: 9: 8).
Row 2 P5 (4: 10: 9: 8), (K3, P1tbl, K3, P10) 7 (8: 8: 9: 10) times, K3, P1tbl, K3, P5 (4: 10: 9: 8).
Rows 3 to 10 Rep Rows 1 and 2 another 4 times.

Cont in patt until work measures 43 (43: 43: 41: 41)cm from cast-on edge, ending after a WS row.

SHAPE NECK
Next row (RS) K3, k2tog tbl, patt 10 (10: 11: 12: 12), turn. Cont on these 14 (14: 15: 16:
16) sts for left half of neck.
***Work 6 rows dec 1 st neatly at neck edge every row at the same time dec at raglan
as before on each RS row. [5 (5: 6: 7: 7) sts] Cont dec at raglan edge on RS rows
only until 2 sts rem. Work 1 row.
Cast off.
With RS facing, slip next 28 (31: 33: 36: 39) sts on a stitch holder and leave. Neatly rejoin yarn at neck edge.
