ADVENT CALENDAR KAL

Notes French Knots for eyes and noses, etc, can be made in two ways: Embroidered by using a length of yarn threaded onto a tapestry needle. Bring the needle up through knitted fabric and making a sewn stitch a short distance away. Before the sewn stitch is completed, wrap the yarn around the needle point 4 times. Complete the stitch by pulling yarn through wraps. Alternatively, take a short length of yarn and make a knot at the centre. Wrap the yarn 4 times around the loop of the knot before pulling it tight. Sew in the long ends of yarn, placing a knot in required position.
