18 sts and 28 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 4.5mm needles

Note The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan increases. The wide collar is worked first, then the yoke and body are worked flat to the hemline. Sleeves are finished last and knitted in the round.

Cast on 32 sts using 4.5mm needles.
Set-up row (RS) Knit.
Set-up row (WS) Work Row 2 of Lace Pattern (flat). Work Rows 1 to 4 of Lace Pattern (flat) 6 (6: 6: 6: 7: 7: 7: 7) times. Break yarn, leave sts on spare needle or stitch holder.
NECKLINE / COLLAR BACK / LEFT HALF
Go back to the cast-on edge. With RS facing, rejoin yarn and pick up and knit 32 sts across the cast-on edge.
