■ Cascade 128 Superwash (chunky, 100% wool, 100g/117m)

■ A pair of 6mm needles

■ A 6mm circular needle, 40cm long, or a set of 6mm double-pointed needles (DPNs)

■ Stitch holder

■ Stitch markers

TENSION

17 stitches and 20 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over patt using 6mm needles

ABBREVIATIONS

K1p3sso (Right leaning triple decrease) Knit the next stitch and slip this stitch back from RH needle to LH needle, making sure you don’t twist the stitch. *Pick up the second stitch on LH needle purlwise and pass it over the first stitch (the original knitted stitch; repeat from * twice more. Slip the first stitch on LH needle back to RH needle purlwise. [3 sts dec’d]

S3k1psso (Left leaning triple decrease) Slip three stitches individually, knitwise, from LH to RH needle. Knit the next stitch. Using tip of LH needle, pass the slipped stitches on the RH needle over the knitted stitch and off the needle. [3 sts dec’d]
