CUTTING OUT

Step one Lay out one of the Body Wadding pieces and lay a coordinating Body piece on top, RS up. Also lay out one of the Tummy wadding pieces with a matching Tummy detail fabric on top RS up. Step two Treating the Tummy wadding and fabric as if they are one, lay the Tummy piece along the front edge of the rabbit, starting by lining the narrow straight edge of the Tummy up with the straight bottom edge of the Body piece. Curve the Tummy along the foot and tummy of the rabbit’s Body, clipping in place as you go. Step three Sew along that clipped edge, with a 1cm seam allowance, stopping just under the chin. Unfold and press along the seam. 02

Step four Match up the remaining Body fabric and wadding pieces, with the fabric RS up, as before.

Step five Line up the other edge of the Tummy piece along the second Body piece, as you did on the previous one, clipping in place, then sewing as before. Press the seam. 03

MAKING THE EARS

Step one Take the pairs of Ear pieces and swap them so that you have one piece in each fabric in each pair. Pin each pair together and sew around the curved edges (with a 1cm seam allowance), leaving the straight bottom edge open. Step two Trim the seam allowance to about 3mm and make some little snips into the seam allowance around the curved top edge. Turn the Ears RS out and press. Step three Lay the Ears on the stiff interfacing and draw around them. Cut out the interfacing and tuck one piece into each of the Ears. 04
