British Psychic Challenge winner Diane Lazarus shares how her spirit guides led her to international success

It’s strange to think how one tiny decision can change your entire life and yet, that’s what happened to me. Back in 2005, I discovered my daughter, Lisa had secretly put my name forward for Channel 5’s ‘Britain’s Psychic Challenge’, a TV show to discover ‘Britain’s Best Psychic’. I was horrified when I found out what she’d done. Apalled, in fact. I knew I had the gift since I was a young child, but I grew up with my mother always telling me to be quiet because ‘people will think there’s something wrong’ with me.

The next moment the taxi arrived to take me to the TV location. To my amazement, we pulled up at the exact car park as the one in my drawing, next to that same white van (this part was not aired!).

Trust your intuition

My first task was to find a man hiding in the boot of one of the cars. I looked at the approximate 500 vehicles in dismay before promptly hearing, ‘don’t worry Diane, I’ve got this’ in Mark’s voice. I then saw him rushing between the vehicles, with me hurrying after him. Moments later we were standing beside the boot of one of the cars when the producer came over to open it up. To my amazement, there the man was, curled up inside.

The night before the next challenge I had a dream about a child with dark, wavy hair. When I awoke, I began drawing her, intuiti
