From a very young age, I’ve been able to see auras. I would say to my mum: “Look at that person’s colour!” But she couldn’t see what I saw. One day, she asked me to show her and I drew a picture for her. I explained: “People have different colours and their colours change.” But spirituality wasn’t a big thing in the 80s and my mum wasn’t very in tune with herself in spiritual terms, so she found it hard to comprehend.

At Sunday school, I was always the outspoken one who would say: “That’s not right” or “I don’t believe that” and I would be asked to leave and play in the park out the back. It really put me off of exploring spirituality, so I turned my back on it for a while and did my communion. But I always knew I was here to fix the world in some way and felt I had to learn everything I could in preparation. I have a photographic memory and can speed-read books, so I was tested to see if I was a savant as I have some of those qualities.

As a teen, I threw myself into extreme sports, racing BMX competitively and I made the national snowboarding team. We travelled all over to compete and this ignited my love of travelling. My dream was to snowboard at the Olympics but when I realised I wasn’t going to make the grade, I joined the family building firm and took on the intricate painting jobs, such as murals.

When the recession hit in 2009, I sold everything and moved to Costa Rica for three years, where I surfed and chilled on the beach. I sold mobile phones and built websites, then I started up a travel excursions business. It’s a full-on industry and I worked ridiculous hours.

A psychic sense

I experienced my first spiritual awakening in 2012. My girlfriend at the time was a holistic health practitioner and a psychic, so I would take courses with her and started developing my own psychic abilities. My girlfriend used to say: “You’re totally psychic!” But I just thought I was calculating possibilities and tapping into my awareness. We had a horrible break-up which dragged out as we got back together a few times and my doctor ended up prescribing antidepressants as I felt so low.

In 2016, I was diagnosed with cancer when they found a tumour the size of a softball. I needed surgery to remove the tumour, a kidney and some lymph nodes but, while I waited for the operation, I decided to do everything I could to help my body heal. When I went in for surgery, they were amaze
