It took a pandemic for Monera Glendinning to realise her calling in the world of beauty
Before I created my company DollsFace in 2019, I had the intention of setting up an eyelashes business. But it didn’t feel that was quite the right path,’ recalls Monera.
‘My intuition was telling me the brand name was right, but the product wasn’t, so I spent the next six months brainstorming. I knew I wanted to create a brand from the heart, that reflected myself and my personality, but I didn’t know any more than that.’
When the pandemic struck, Monera felt overwhelmed with anxiety and turned to crystal meditation to relax her mind. She explored the chakras, and discovered the beauty of essential oils. Then she started to experiment by combining crystals and oils, playing with different formulas and exploring their wellbeing benefits.
Purity in a bottle
‘I found a way to harness the energy from the gemstones and infused this with natural oils to apply all over the body in order to raise your energy vibration. During the pandemic, I prioritised time for self-love every week and this routine kept my wellbeing on track.
