So batten down the hatches if they scream “RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!” at the camera. With a sub you can create custom layouts, placing maps and rainfall predictions front and centre. Alerts include an ‘air raid’ sound for life-threatening conditions. Weirdly, this app differs wildly on each platform – but all versions provide fast access to alerts. On Android, they’re splashed across the top of the screen in boxes you can only avoid if you make a real effort; on iPhone, you get alert symbols that display a timeline pop-up when tapped.
