Ilive in central Stockholm, which is very different to where I’m from.

I’ve lived in Stockholm for half of my life, but I’m from the southern part of Sweden.

Igrew up in asmall town by the coast, so Stockholm still feels like arather big city. Ido miss the west coast and the proper saltwater ocean –here it feels more likeabig lake. But Stockholm is abeautiful city and it’s easy to get around, which is great for me –Idon’t like wasting time. Iwalk my son to pre-school and then walk to the Readly HQ.

Ibecame Readly CEO aged 33.

Istarted working when Iwas 20, afterIgraduated in business and economics. My first real job was at Boston Consulting Group as aconsultant in media and tech, and then Iworked in abig media group as chief of strategy. Then Iwas the MD of aTV streaming broadcaster called CMore. Next Iwas part of aventure capital startup, and Idid some advisory work in film and entertainment before starting this job. So I’ve managed to do quite alot of things already, even though there are areas where I’m not as experienced.

We’re about to make Readly better for smartphone users.

Up until now, the Readly app offers an excellent tablet/iPad user experience for over 7600 magazine and newspaper titles. Although we do have iOS and Android apps, they’re not as great as our tablet experience, so that’s abig focus. Another is to make Readly arobustly profitable business. Historically, it has been more focused on growth than profitability. But we are aleader in all-you-can-read subscriptions for magazines and news in Europe.

Travelling is in my blood.

Ihave always loved travelling, so now I’m doing it with my own family. My son is two and has abusy schedule already! Trips are alittle scaled-down now, but Ido try to combine them with something adrenaline-orientated like skiing, kitesurfing or diving. Or Ijust play tennis with my partner –she’s teaching me. Our last holiday was to Tanzania, which was beautiful, and in acouple of weeks we are going skiing here in Sweden –a 5hr drive from Stockholm. For work, I travel regularly between our HQ here in Stockholm and our offices in Paris, London and Berlin, and another office we have in Vaxjo, Sweden.
