Exciting new tech we can’t wait to get our hands on

We’ve previously been impressed by the projectors put out by Xgimi, and the long-throw Horizon Max looks set to continue that trend, with IMA X Enhanced certification to its name, and a Dual Light 2.0 laser system for full and rich visuals. We’re serious fans of the design of this device too, which manages to ef fortlessly combine both modern and retro vibes.

Manufacturers are showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to supersized curved gaming monitors, as the Acer Predator Z57 shows. It boasts 57 inches of Mini LED goodness, corner to corner, with a 7680 x 2160 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,304 local dimming zones that should make for fabulous viewing.

The Acer Swift Go 16 offers upgrades to Acer’s existing laptop lineup in all the right areas, with Intel Core Ultra processors, up to 32GB of RAM, and a stunning-looking 16-inch OLED screen option that goes up to a 3.2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Despite its relatively large dimensions, it comes in at a weight of just 1.6 kilograms as well.

SHARP HT-SB700 2.0.2

A great soundbar choice if you’re looking for something compact and af fordable, the Sharp HT-SB70 0 2.0.2 comes with support for Dolby Atmos and 3D surround sound. If you’ve got a little bit extra to spend, you can pair it with two wireless rear surround speakers and a subwoofer for an even more immersive sound.

The 14-inch HP Omen Transcend is a gaming laptop that gets both performance levels and design aesthetics just right – not something you can say about every gaming laptop. It combines a slim form factor, a 120Hz OLED screen, up to 11.5 hours of battery life, Intel Core Ultra chips and GPU power up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070.

The original Samsung Frame was a TV that could double up as a digital artwork display when it wasn’t on television duties, and now the same idea has been applied to a speaker. It’s one of the most stylish speakers we’ve set eyes on – and you can choose from several dif ferent custom prints or photos to adorn the front of the Music Frame.

HP has a strong track record when it comes to laptops that can fold right over, and the 2024 edition of the Spectre x360 looks to be continuing that: both the 14-inch and 16-inch models look great, come with Intel’s new Intel Core Ultra processors inside, and are (of course) optimised for AI tasks.
