1 Step back in time

No trip to Bath would be complete without visiting the iconic Roman Baths, situated at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prepare to be blown away by the Sacred Spring, Roman Temple and Bath House.

Those who dare can try the hot spa water at the Pump Room fountain, containing 43 minerals and a rather unusual taste!

If you’re feeling peckish, the Pump Room Restaurant is a favourite for afternoon tea. Indulge in dainty finger sandwiches and scones while you listen to live music from the Pump Room Trio or resident pianist.

2 Relax and rejuvenate

If you’re in search of some Zen, a visit to the Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in the UK, is a must. The spa’s ancient mineral waters are said to possess healing properties.

After bathing just as the Celts and Romans did over 2000 years ago, take a plunge in the Minerva Spa with its flowing curves, lazy river and massage jet.

Finish off your relaxation session with a dip in the rooftop pool, which boasts beautiful views over the city.

3 Catch some culture

Take a trip to the Jane Austen Centre to learn about one of England’s finest authors and her life in Bath during the early part of the 19th century.

Or check out some of the city’s impressive Georgian architecture. Popular sites include Bath Abbey, the Palladian-style Pulteney Bridge, based on an unused design of the well-known Rialto Bridge in Venice, and The Royal Crescent — arow of 30 terraced houses designed in a curved shape which was constructed during the mid-18th century.
