In the run-up to Christmas, enjoy a workshop focusing on festive foods to discover a new skill or technique and take seasonal classics to new culinary heights. From canapes and chocolates to confectionery and traditional bakes, there are food courses covering all kinds of dishes to whet the appetite. Simply enrol to create a memorable edible decoration, master the art of breadmaking, and enhance cookery skills to excite the tastebuds of friends and family year-round.

The Riverford Field Kitchen

Tie on an apron, roll up the sleeves and learn how to create sensational home-baked and beautifully spiced Christmas breads to give to family and friends. The workshop is led by experienced pastry chef Andy Tyrrell, who will share his knowledge, tips and techniques for creating seasonal favourites to take away – including traditional stollen, orange and cranberry brioche and a festive focaccia. Students will also learn how to make sourdough flatbreads to enjoy alongside the workshop lunch.

Biscuiteers School of Icing

Decorate biscuits at the Biscuiteers School of Icing. An icing expert will demonstrate the tips and techniques required to skillfully hand-ice to perfection. Each student will create a tin of their own Christmas-inspired creations. Alternatively, get a group of four or more like-minded friends together and book a private Gingerbread House Icing Class.
