In a match made in designer heaven, GP & J Baker and Pooky have joined forces to launch a capsule collection of lampshades combining Pooky’s creative genius and affordability with GP & J Baker’s beautiful fabrics. The collection of four designs is available in a range of curated colourways with inspiration taken from hand-painted documents discovered in GP & J Baker’s world-renowned archive, where some pieces date back to the 17th century. Particular showstoppers include the recoloured and rescaled Ferns and Magnolia patterns, originally painted by textile designer William Turner in the early 19th century. When Annie and Lachlan Stewart met at art college in Edinburgh 40 years ago, they realised they shared the same design philosophy, and their company, ANTA, perfectly reflects this. Its furnishings, textiles and stoneware take inspiration from the Scottish landscape and seasons and ANTA has recently joined forces with Highland Clip to buy wool directly from the local Highland farmers.
