What design ideas do you have that you hope to bring to fruition next year?

I’m inclined towards exploring a refined colour palette that imparts a sense of timelessness and sophistication. I’d also like to incorporate more sustainable materials into our designs, not only for their ecological benefits but also for the unique aesthetic they bring to a space. For us, the key is always to balance functionality and aesthetic appeal.

What is your New Year design resolution?

To continue focusing on considered, curated and rich interiors. It’s essential for us as a studio to create spaces that not only reflect the unique personality of the client but also stand the test of time in terms of style and functionality.

Is there anyone you would like to work with in 2024?

We’re looking forward to continuing our expansion of collaborations with inspiring artisans and craftspeople who share a vision. As for projects, we’re excited about our international reach, particularly in the South of France, the Middle East and the USA, where we have projects slated for completion. As an international studio, that allows us to expand and explore, pushing the boundaries of our creativity. elicyon.com

What is your New Year design resolution?

I’m simplifying – using less pattern and decorating with fewer objects. There has been a push for more of a maximalist aesthetic in recent years and I’m looking forward to paring things back, continuing to source pieces that are beautiful in their own right and then letting those items breathe.

Is there a project that you’d like to work on in 2024?

We’re looking forward to developing our product range, which is currently a small collection of chairs inspired by our late founder Melissa Wyndham and something she really wanted to do. We’ve used architectural features found in and around London as inspiration and the collection will soon include bedside tables, mirrors and lighting.

What in the world of design are you most excited about in the year ahead?

I’ve been delving into books for inspiration. I’m looking forward to applying some of the decorating principles of Jaime Parladé, Bunny Melon and Elsie de Wolfe. The aim is to combine elegant design with more contemporary pieces, so tha
