DARREN Moore is adamant his new charges can beat the drop despite seeing them fall to a third defeat on the spin since he took over.

Goals at the start and end of the match from Joe Taylor and Reeco Hackett saw Lincoln stretch their unbeaten run to eight games.

It’s now nine games without a win for the Valiants and they are three points from safety, but Moore remains confident his team have what it takes to stay up.

“They’re a good squad, they’ve got the capabilities of keeping this club up and that’s how we’re going about it,” Moore said.

“They’ve proven they’re good pros because they’ve come through too many hurdles to be at this level by mistake.

“So it’s just re-grouping and digging in. There’s everything to play for. They’re as frustrated as we are because there’s a real care with them in there and that’s a wonderful sign.”
