Having joined the club as a player when he was 22, Jim, pictured below, later became manager and then chairman of the Hertfordshire village side. “I’ve been chairman for something like 25 or 30 years and have been involved with Codicote through thick and thin – and there has not been much thick,” he said. “Luckily, we are playing well with a new manager and new players and it has been a really good season so far.
