To avoid a jog in the stripes, work to the last stitch of the purl round of each 2-row stripe, Sl 1, lift loop of the stitch below the start of round onto RH needle, slip both sts to LH needle, P2tog
The pattern is worked in stranded colourwork in stocking stitch with edge stitches worked in garter stitch while worked flat, and then only in stocking stitch when joined in the round. RIGHT SHOULDER

To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g. 76 stitches) and divide by the number of increases to be made (e.g. 16) = 4.75. In this example, increase by
