Rnd/Row 1: *P2, K3tog, (yo, K1) 3 times, Yo, SSSK, P1; rep from * to end.
SPECIAL TECHNIQUES
PICOT CAST-OFF
1. With WS facing, K1.
2. Place new st back on LH needle.
3. Cast on 1 st.
4. Cast off 1 st (1 st remains on RH needle). 5. Yo, P1 (3 sts on RH needle).
6. On RH needle, lift yo and second st over first st and off needle (1 st on RH needle). 7. K1 then pass second st over first st. Rep steps 2 to 7 until all sts are cast off.
PATTERN NOTES
You may find that your knit stitches are tighter than your purl stitches, so when moving from circular (mostly knit rnds) to working back and forth (with a mix of knit and purl rows), make an effort to keep your tension constant.
BODY
Using 3.75mm needles and yarn A, cast on 216 (240:264:288:312:336) sts. Join to work in the rnd, taking care not to twist sts.
Pm to mark beg of rnd, and pm after 108 (120:132:144:156:168) sts for side.
Work 5cm of (K1, P1) rib. Change to 4mm needles.
Next rnd: Knit.
