Truly individual Range Rover restorations are increasingly rare things, but Jimmy Whitmore’s 1987 Classic is one of a kind. Definitely not done to a formula, it started as a low-miler with what he describes as ‘the hookiest MOT ever’ end emerged from his workshop as a work of engineering to be proud of. Of course, any good Land Rover is a vehicle to be proud of, even when it’s called Frankenstein. Which is the rather unpromising name given to the 100” hybrid which also graces our pages this month. Another truck built to one man’s vision – and another unique work of Landy brilliance.
