Cosawes Park offers a central valley location within 100 acres of natural landscaping. The adults-only site is both close to towns and close to the sea in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The site’s year-round facilities include premium all-service hardstanding pitches, toilets and showers with accessible facilities, and WiFi. There’s no clubhouse or bars here, the ethos is to remain loyal to camping’s more rustic roots, but with a touch of luxury thrown in.

Cosawes is just six miles from the coastal town and port of Falmouth. From watching boats in the harbour, to relaxing on the sands or browsing in the shops and museums, Falmouth has plenty to interest visitors. It’s also only a 10-minute drive to the city of Truro – visit the city’s historic cathedral or head to Lemon Quay for an eclectic mix of shops and also a Christmas market in December.

Walnut Farm, Waxham, Norfolk NR12 0EG 01692 598217 walnutfarmwaxham.co.uk

Set in the Norfolk countryside, surrounded by fields, Walnut Farm is close to Waxham Sands with direct access to a path leading to the coast.

The beaches of this area of Norfolk are expansive and much quieter to enjoy in the winter season. At Horsey, a short walk along the coast path, from October to February, you can see hundreds of seals on the sand here as they come to shore to have their pups.

Walnut Farm’s pitches in the main season are on grass across several small fields, surrounded by hedging and trees. The five winter pitches (1 November – 31 March) are on hardstanding. There are toilet, shower, dishwashing and laundry facilities. A one-and-a-half-mile walk around the farm’s perimeter, ideal for exercising dogs, includes a scenic stretch alongside the river.
