Sticking Point

My family owns a label-maker now, and I’ve been labelling everything in sight – the bins, all the jars in my kitchen, the random bottles of homemade plant food I’ve got around the shed.

It can even print on ribbon, so presents will be personalised.

What a wonderful gadget!

Grow On

We have a whole new year of gardening to look forward to, and I’m getting a head start on planning and preparation with the useful RHS Grow app.

I’m busy adding a list of the plants I already have in my garden, plus all the ones I know I’ll be growing from seed or cuttings, so that it can give me care reminders and tips from the Royal Horticultural Society’s experts.

It also helps me identify any I’ve forgotten, as well as providing plenty of inspiration.

The RHS Grow app is free to download for iPhone or Android.

Face It

I’ve been loving this facial peel from The Body Shop.

Don’t be put off by the scariness of the word “peel” – this is suitable for sensitive skin and exfoliates in a gentle way, but still gives amazing results.

You rub it into dry skin and it works its magic in an instant, then you rinse it off and go about your day with a glowing complexion.

The only problem is that its star ingredient does inspire an enthusiastic “The Sound Of Music” singalong whenever I use it – fun for me, not so much fun for those who have to put up wit
