Hello little ones

Hello little ones

QPlease could you let me know if any back issues have baby samplers or birth announcement patterns?

Sam Ehrlich, via email

AHannah: How about this sweet woodland-themed 'Baby Sampler' project, designed by Lisa Reakes? The folk art-style creatures and bright colours are just the thing to commemorate a new arrival, and it’s easily customisable with the included backstitch upper and lower case alphabets, plus numbers. You’ll find the project in issue 244 (August 2016), but it’s also available as a digital PDF chart from The World of Cross Stitching Etsy store – just visit www.WorldCrossStitching.etsy.com to download the chart so you can start stitching straight away. The finished design measures approx. 20.5x25.5cm (8x10in) when stitched on 14- or 28-count fabric and includes a guide to help you plot out your own names and birth details. Don’t forget to check out the cute new baby cards in our Etsy store, too.

The fine print

Q Do you have angel policies allowing you to create something using a pattern, then sell it at a craft fair? If so, why is it never either printed in the magazine or on a pattern?

Natalie Campbell, via email

AVicki: You’ll always find our copyright statement alongside the stockist information (page 82 in this issue), which states selling crafts based on our charts is not permitted. We have featured some designs to stitch and raise funds for charity over the years, so do keep an eye out for these – we always include information where this applies on the project page.

Q I’d love to see some designs from Disney’s Frozen in your magazine. I have some fans who’d love me to stitch them some cards that feature the characters.
