Hello everyone and welcome to part 8 of my SAL! Now, what’s a cross stitch project without the things we need to actually bring our project to life – our trusted stash of threads! While I know this doesn’t reflect how many we have in our kit (and it’s definitely a lot!), these pastel threads are what make our designs flourish from start to finish.

Guide to stitching your Stitch-A-Long (SAL)

• To start stitching your SAL, make the top left stitch on the chart of part one, 10cm (4in) in from the top and left side of the fabric (instead of from the centre of your fabric, as you usually would).

• The shopping list has the size of fabric you’ll need if you’re stitching the stitch-themed SAL in full.

• The key lists the thread colours and skeins you’ll need to stitch the whole SAL. It also lists the final design area for all 12 parts.

• To join up the parts of your Stitch-A-Long, ignore the one-square border around the chart, and don’t leave a gap when joining the next part to the one you stitched previously (except for parts 7 and 10 where you should leave a one-square border between the part and the neighbouring
