Revel in the majestic sights of a safari expedition with this gorgeous portrait of a lion turned into a cushion cover

STITCHER’S CHALLENGE Stitch this lustrous lion and make it up into a stunning eye-catching cushion cover for your home

Known by many as ‘the king of the jungle’, this breathtaking beauty is captured in its prime with a luscious golden mane and strikingly bold features that look like he’s glinting in the savannah sunlight. Jenny Barton’s latest design is ever-so realistic that you can almost hear this lion roar loud and proud...

Stitched on ice blue evenweave to contrast with the golden hues of his fur, this impressive project comes uses thread colours, including a lot of similar shades. We suggest using several needles to increase stitching speed, just remember to label them so you can keep track.

I had an absolutely roar-some time designing my majestic lion! There’s a small amount of fractionals and backstitch so it

should appeal to all abilities of stitchers. Your piece will shine in ‘pride’ of place!

from the page and is incredibly lifelike with such fine detail. My friend who is on safari at the moment in Kenya would love this cushion as a reminder of her amazing adventure.
