Fallen Leaves

WRITE TO USToday’s Quilter, Our Media, Eagle House, Bristol, BS1 4ST EMAIL: todaysquilter@ourmedia.co.uk

I wanted to share a photo of a quilt I made after reading issue 92 last year (yes, it has taken me this long to complete it!) We moved house in February 2023 and so, until recently, I haven’t managed to find the time to sit down and sew. I now have a dedicated sewing room and lots of projects in the offing! There is no stopping me now! The fabric was bought from a well-known supermarket, which occasionally sells fat quarters. I loved the vibrancy of the colours and thought it fitted really well with the Fallen Leaves quilt project. I love your magazine. It has inspired me to start sewing again after many years.

We’re delighted to hear our mag has reignited your love of this wonderful craft. And what a quilt to make a comeback with – it’s absolutely stunning! Huge well done!

CONVERTED QUILTER

Here is a photo of a wall hanging I have just completed. It’s my first attempt at this kind of thing, as I’m normally a spinner, weaver and dyer. The design is one of Jennie Rayment’s and the fabric colours have been dyed by myself (except for the black). I so enjoyed making this that I have now signed up for a subscription to Today’s Quilter and am enjoying every page.
