#RUN 1000 MILES

TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE

Even if you don’t hit the target, the key is aiming to enjoy the journey

As much as we love trail running, staying motivated all the time can be tricky.

Running at its best is tremendously enjoyable but, we’re not always in the mood to lace up, particularly in poor weather or on dark nights.

That’s why we came up with #Run1000Miles. It’s a yearly challenge designed to give us all a target to aim for. It’s 2.74 miles per day or 19.2 miles a week –a serious undertaking for most of us. So what’s it all about and why should you join us?

In January I started what I thought would be a difficult, demanding and potentially unattainable challenge to #Run1000Miles

MIND BLOWN

in 2021. Today I reached the 1000-mile mark during my run. It’s been a great year which has included my first marathon last month and meeting some fab people.

For me, completing my 1000-mile run on November 11 was very special. I completed 30 years of service in the military a couple of years ago, and that date can be hard for those serving or who have served, remembering friends and colleagues who have lost their lives. This run was for them.

Running 1000 miles in just over 10 months has blown my mind. Running has transformed me and made me so much happier with life and more prepared for anything around the next corner.
