As vice-chairman of AAPGAI, he holds its Master Fly Dresser, Master Double-Handed Caster and Advanced Trout qualifications. He contributes to numerous magazines and publications and is regularly involved in fly-dressing clinics and workshops. If not behind the vice, he can often be found on Bassenthwaite Lake targeting pike.
