TESTING PROCESS

WE TESTED OUR tyre dressings on tyre walls and on an older car that had some greying black rubber trim to brighten up. We followed the application directions for each product, starting with clean, dry tyres and trims. The dressings were rated for ease of application, the finished look and how long they kept the tyres looking good. And as ever, value for money was factored in.

It’s easy to layer on for a really shiny finish, or you can attain a more understated finish with one application. It lasted well, too, and kept the plastics and tyres looking fresh for a couple of weeks and more. At the price, this is a great buy and a worthy winner.

This solvent-free, water-based cleaner leaves a really good shine on tyres, and the supplied applicator makes it easier to apply to trims. It’s safe on all plastics, but it didn’t have quite the transformative effect as our winner. It smells good, is easy to apply precisely and is effective on both trim and tyres.
